to the hardships the localbrotherhood endures in Santa Maria, is finding something to do, finding a empty coffee shop. The former C.O. loved doing
"calls, RVs and studies", what about getting your feet dirty and going "door to door", parking lot witnessing for the whole day? Why can't we do more for the poor, and
widows and orphans and elderly and homeless? Why can't we do something that actually will help humanity, is this a sin, to want to help those in
need? I wish we could be Authentic Christians, not some robotic, Bible challenged, fence walking men and women. I keep my charity under my hat,
others say "we always will have the poor." "the poor need Jesus, not temporary aid.".
my wife and i are finishing reading an excellent book titled " deep healing " by emmett e. miller, m. d. the essence of this book is showing how our mind and body works in synchronicity with our mental health affecting our physical well being.. he also addresses the issue of how " group mentality " or peer pressure can influence seemingly " normal " people to totally ignore reality and allow a " group " of people to coerce them into believing an untruth.

i was shocked to hear how the slander against jehovah's name that we see in the world can be compared to a good man accused of being a child molester.
he went on to describe how terrible such an accusation would be, and how "friends" of the accused would know he's not capable of such an act and would rally to his defense.
at several points in the talk, he refers back to the child molester "example" and how eventually, despite the hideous slander heaped on a man in this situation (depicting jehovah in the bigger picture, we assume), that man's good reputation would be restored.

My daughter got a phone call to attend a gathering by some upstanding youths. Beer bongs, Yager Jello Bombs and Beer, but hey, at least those kids are not working on their degrees! My kids will attend college, no "French Literature" class for the oldest! She wants a degree in Management Information Systems and loves Accounting (Forensic Accountant) might be a good job? Brother Waldo served Texas and Ok, for over ten years as CO, possible DO. Maybe someone else knows him locally or from his past in Texas and Ok. The COs and DOs are now receiving homes to live in, they receive a pension, and Social Security gives them forty credits under "Clergy". I don't know if SS has upped it to 80 credits yet, anyone know?

for any of you ol' regular pioneers...while in the ministry and you were driving did the others in the car group give you money for gas?
if it was only pioneers out, then of course no one gave anything since everybody generally shared driving.
EXMS, people are very selfish out in service, when it comes to gas money. This topic will bring up some bad memories, remembering brothers and sisters who don't understand, it's not free to drive. Trying to get gas money, can be like pulling teeth or worse. I gave a brother a $20 and he said "What is this for?" I told him gas, he cried, "I have been in this Hall for a year, and nobody has offered me a penny! "You buy me lunch, you gave me money, why? I thought that is what we are suppose to do, right?

( I thought that takes education, CAD, computers) according to Waldo. I hated machine shop in high school, and he reminds me of my
old boring teacher who caught me making a "weed pipe" Flipper, he is dangerous to anyone who puts any credence in his words, or has the "fever"
